Registered Clinical Counsellor
As a Counsellor, my role is to co-create a safe space with my clients, and encourage them to find insight into their psychological, and emotional needs. From the insight discovered, we can effectively create approaches and strategies tailored to the client which will reconnect them to a meaningful and holistic life.
I work with individuals through a variety of life challenges, most specifically focused in the areas of trauma, depression, and anxiety. I have a passion for understanding the unique factors of how mental health relates to men, and working through those specific challenges. In addition to working with individuals, I also work with couples and families to discover new patterns of communication and relationship.
I have a Masters of Counselling Psychology from Adler University, and a Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Psychology from Kwantlen University. I have received specialized training in Somatic Trauma Therapy which has equipped me with a better understanding of how trauma affects the body. The training I have received from the Gottman Institute has also allowed me to incorporate specific research-based interventions for couples in couples therapy.
