Curtis' Message
As a counsellor, my goal is first and foremost to provide a space that each client that walks through my door feels allowed to be fully themselves. Clients often bring issues to counselling that are painful and that they have never been disclosed to anyone, so it is critical that when clients speak to me, they do not feel judged or rejected.
In a counselling relationship where clients feel accepted, even when the things they are most ashamed of are seen, it opens up the possibility to explore these things they’ve been carrying for so long. In this new openness is where each client can discover the possibility to do things differently and make intentional, significant changes in their lives.
I graduated from TWU with a Masters of Counselling Psychology in 2017, and since then have continued to refine my counselling capacity by training in Gottman Couples Method, Observed and Experiential Integration (OEI), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Existential Analysis (EA). I am a Silver Endorsed Occupationally Aware Clinician with First Responder Health.
