Cara's Message

As a counsellor, it is my priority for you to feel safe and supported within the therapy relationship. This allows for you to do the work of navigating the complex aspects of life with guidance, acceptance, and compassion. You can expect a person-centred approach, which includes our co-creation of sessions to adapt to your needs each session and to intentionally work towards your specific goals with evidence-based approaches.

I work with individuals who are experiencing challenges or symptoms that are negatively impacting their everyday lives such as anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship concerns, self-esteem, spirituality, chronic illness and pain, and women’s issues.

I graduated from Yorkville University with a Masters of Counselling and Psychology in 2022, and utilize different modalities depending on the need and what resonates with you as a client. A few that I commonly use are Internal Family Systems, Somatic approaches, Polyvagal Theory, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Warmly,

Cara
